Dear Gary,

Andy and I wanted to write to you to let you know how completely thrilled we are with the patio project that you completed for us this past summer.  We’ve been using the patio as a huge additional living space at our home.  It serves as a wonderful place to relax and unwind and it is a fantastic area in which to entertain guests and to host a party.

The patio that came with the house was very limited because of its size and shape and unimpressive design.  We simply used it as a place to eat our grilled dinners.  You were able to see past the constraints of the existing patio and your creativity and visionary thinking allowed for a complete redesign of the backyard.  We appreciated you considering all of our interests and our lifestyle as you designed an eating area that would accommodate a large teak dining table for our big family.  When we told you that we enjoy entertaining, the design of a sitting wall surrounding the dining area showed us that you heard what we said and carefully considered our needs. 

The wide and curvy sitting area, just a few steps down from the dining area provides us with a place of escape after a meal where we can relax and talk as a family.  Thank you for designing it just perfectly so that the reading chairs and the chat table provide us with a lazy place to enjoy each other’s company.  We find we use the space more in the early mornings than any other time.  This time was never spent outdoors before you transformed our yard.  We also love going out there late at night since the landscape lighting project turned out so beautifully.  It’s a midnight hideout at the hot tub on a cold winter’s night.  The newly created serenity of our outdoor space is precious.

We also appreciate how you used the perfect plants to create a natural segue to the hot tub area.  Andy was concerned that the hot tub would be too obvious on the third patio and even become an eye sore.  Your talent in disguising that area behind gorgeous landscaping allowed us to maintain the usefulness of the hot tub while keeping the area aesthetically pristine.

We also appreciate your attention to detail.  I know most of your customers must ask you to make their job unique.  Your personal touches on the design made me feel like my job was your prized work.  I love the border that you chose to go along with the pavers.  It’s random and very natural pebble design captured just the feel we were hoping for.  Our backyard is truly a refuge now because of your creativity, hard work and expertise.  I can’t thank you enough for giving us the sanctuary at our own home that we were only dreaming of before.
